about Lisa

Hello, my name is Lisa Spratt. If you are visiting this website, you probably know someone with dyslexia. Let me tell you my story.

My degree is in Child Development and Family Relations. I have been involved with the education of children over the past twenty years, including home schooling my three boys.
It was when my youngest son was having difficulty reading that I became aware of the frustration experienced by children with dyslexia. We worked through several programs with minimal progress. This increased the frustration of my son and also myself.

It was during this period of investigating the numerous programs available that I came across the book, "The Gift of Dyslexia". After reading the book, I believed this could contain the key that would unlock my child's abilities. We traveled to the nearest DavisTM facilitator (90 minutes away) and completed the initial consultation. My son left that first meeting exclaiming, "Finally, someone understands how my mind works!" We immediately scheduled a one-week Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program.

After the first day, my son, while getting into the car, said, "I can't stop smiling!" We both continue to smile about the achievements he is making in his reading and his improved self-esteem. Now it is my turn to bring smiles to others suffering from the frustration of dyslexia by offering the Davis Dyslexia Correction® Program in Northeast Alabama.
